WHAT....Almost 2!

Elena is almost 2! I can't believe it! Here are some recent pics of her at 23 months! She is such a ham and will only sit long enough to say "cheese" and then moves for the camera and says "me see....me see"!
I love her so much and she amazes me every day! She loves to do things herself and sometimes gets pretty mad when things don't happen the way she thinks they should! She says so many things now that I can't even keep count! A while ago her favorite saying was "Gosh sakes"! I have no idea where that came from but it was too cute when she would say it! She follows Mikaela and Haylee around and tries to do whatever it is they are doing. When they go outside and don't take her you would think the end of the world was here the way she carries on! They take good care of their baby sister but sometimes they just want to ride their bikes instead of helping her ride her scooter and I don't blame them, but I sure wish they could figure a way out of the house without her knowing! ;)

29 weeks

Ok, so I am a little over 29 weeks but here is a pic from about then. We are scheduled to induce on July 25th if I haven't had her yet because Preston is going out of town on July 28th! I kind of hope I will have her a little earlier so I can have Preston home for more than 3 days before leaving, but I have a lot of family that will be here to help so I am not too worried! We still haven't agreed on a name! It is just so hard for us to choose girl names, I think that may be why we keep having girls! Things are going well with this pregnancy, no blood pressure issues and only minor swelling so far. She started out really high but she has since dropped and now she sits right on my back and pelvic bones so I feel bruised by the end of each day! Luckily it gets better after sleeping and I have still been able to sleep! My next appointment is on June 2 and I can't wait to see her sweet little face again!

Elena's first haircut!

Elena got her first haircut today, well, it was more like a little trim, but I think it looks tons better! My friend, Ruthann, from church did it for me for free on her kitchen counter! :) I am so glad to have a great friend and so glad she was able to do this for me!
She's wondering...what in the heck did you do to me ? That is her hair in the plastic baggie Ruthann is holding!

Ruthann was so good with her...she moved around a lot but was pretty good.
There's my cute little 22 month old angel!
Here is the end result! No more straggly ends! YAY! I still can't get over her thin blond hair! But she is beautiful even with her wispy hair!

Way to go Mikaela!

Mikaela entered a contest for our local bird refuge. Out of 1179 entries 74 pictures were chosen and Mikaela's was one of them. They then had to come and redraw their original picture on a large poster paper which will be put in a banner that will be displayed along our Main Street for 2 weeks! She was so excited and couldn't wait to draw the new picture! It took a long time and they had them color them with permanent markers so I was a little sick to my stomach and had headache, but it was all worth it! :) She did a great job on both pictures and I can't wait to see it hanging along main street! We are already planning on walking (or maybe driving) along Main Street to see if we can find it and take a picture of her with it while it is in the banner! I am so proud of her and her efforts in art! She seems to enjoy it and loves to make and draw things especially with her Grandma Call who is an amazing artist! Here are some pics of her working hard!

24 weeks!

So, today I hit 24 weeks which is viability! That means that my baby could be born and most likely would survive, but of course there would be complications so we hope to keep her cooking for at least 14 more weeks or longer! It seems so close yet so far away at the same time. I keep meaning to take another picture and I keep forgetting when Preston is around to take one! I have really begun to pop and am now getting a little more uncomfortable, but not bad overall...I feel great, she is moving around like crazy and all looks to be going good! My next appointment will be on May 5 and I will be doing my glucose test, bleh! I need to post our pictures from Easter weekend and the ultrasound pictures, but I am on the wrong computer and I am too lazy to go turn the other one on! :)

21 weeks

Ok, so I am not 21 weeks until tomorrow but since I am on and I took a picture FINALLY, I will post.

I feel huge, but things seem to be going well, the dr at my last appointment said she looks really petite! I have only gained 2.5 pounds total so far which I am very excited about since I started this pregnancy almost at the weight I ended my pregnancy with Elena. I blame the stress at work the last year and a half for my over eating, but well, I really know it is my fault! My blood pressure has been good, not great but good. The only thing not so great is that I seem to be getting sick all the time. Like every cold, flu or sniffle that comes around I get it! It is driving me crazy! We also can't agree on a name but then again what is new about that! Mikaela is the only one that had a name before she was born, why change the tradition of the last two! lol

I forgot to say happy 11 months!

I forgot to post these pics of Elena on her 11 month birthday Wednesday May 20th! So here they are...

Look how long her hair is getting!

This is Haylee's teddy but Elena loves it!

She moves around so much it is hard to get a decent picture now!

She is now walking as you can see from the last post, but she still prefers to crawl. She has 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on bottom but, her molars are trying to come through now! She says momma, daddy, Daisy (Aunt Wilma's dog but, she calls all dogs this), kitty, hi. She also growls, makes a sound for cars when she is playing with them and many other sounds like clicking her tongue. She has learned that she can change the sound of the click by moving her lips, that is so cute to watch! Another funny thing she does is put everything around her neck, socks, hairbands, mommy's lanyard, blankets, toys, anything... so we have to be careful not to keep things lying around she could choke herself with. I can't believe she will be a year old next month! Crazy!

Happy 11 months Baby Girl!

Elena is walking!

Elena is finally taking some steps. She still prefers to crawl because she likes to do the easier thing! She is starting to realize that walking is good though and isn't quite as scared to fall now. Here is a clip of her yesterday at our Memorial Day BBQ with Preston's folks, Aunt Wilma and our neighbor Brother Jensen and his daughter and her family.

The BBQ was fun. We put is together last minute when Preston found some Polish dogs at Costco. They were huge! He decided he wanted to invite his parents over for a BBQ. Then that morning we were planting our garden and he saw Brother Jensen outside and invited him and his daughters family over. It was fun and fitting since Brother Jensen is a Veteran! Preston's dad is also so it was great celebrating Memorial Day with two men who served our country! I hope you all had a great day as well!
